Holiday Boat

Topsy is our 55ft wide-beam boat. She's much more spacious than a narrowboat. She has six berths, with two double cabins, a very comfortable sofa bed ( and an extra single fold up futon bed available if needed ). On entering the boat from the stern, you'll find the galley, complete with fullsize cooker, fridge with freezer and coffee machine. The beautiful galley has oak work tops and cottage style cupboards.

On to salon with its moroccan inspired decor, solid fuel stove and multimedia centre, including a vintage record deck and selection of vinyl. Along the corridor you'll find the two bedrooms, both with luxury bedding and comfortable pocket sprung mattresses. There's plenty of storage in both rooms. The bathroom has jacuzzi bath, shower and flushing toilet. So your comfort is complete.

To get you started:
We'd like to take the worry out of your holiday; from the moment your feet hit the deck, you can begin to enjoy your holiday on the Kennet and Avon canal. Topsy will be full of complimentary fuel so after your orienteering, you'll be ready to steer her away. You'll be insured, licensed and ready to go. We'll make up a hamper including tea, coffee, biscuits, milk, sugar, bread, butter, eggs and cheese and a bottle of fizz, so you can stop for a snack or toast the boat even if you haven't had the chance to shop yet. If you're a novice, don't worry we spend time with you to make sure you are happy handling the boat before you go on your way.

For your comfort: Your holiday can be luxurious from start to finish. The two cabins have comfortable pocket sprung mattresses with cotton toppers and cotton sheets. Egyptian cotton duvets and pillows make sure that you have a snuggly sleep. The sofa bed also comes with cotton sheets, silk pillows and duvet. Towels are big, plump, soft cotton sheets, that you can wrap yourself up in after a leisurely bathe in the jacuzzi bath.

For your entertainment:
Onboard you'll find a large freeview tv for you to watch on demand and a selection of music, from albums on the smart box to a vintage record deck with a choice of vinyl to listen to. Unlimited mobile Wi-fi means you can keep in touch and link into your Netflix account. And if you'd rather play there's a selection of board games for all of the family to enjoy.

Not so essential essentials:
We recommend waterproof jackets and trousers which will keep you dry in all weathers. After a day's cruising you can wind down in front of the coal fire, create an ambient atmosphere and enjoy a relaxed evening. You can choose from a shower, bath, jacuzzi or combination of all three.

And just because we can:
We've provided fleecy robes for you to wrap up in. A selection of toiletries include soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.. If you want real coffee, just pop a pod into the coffee machine and enjoy a steaming hot coffee or hot chocolate.

For your reassurance, we provide a discreet concierge call out service. We're happy to work with you to create a special event or occasion and it would be a privilege to do so.

Topsy standard holiday hires are :

Weekend breaks (3:00pm Fridays to 9:30am Mondays).

Midweek breaks (3:00pm Mondays to 9:30am Fridays).

Weekly, 10/11 day & fortnight breaks (3:00pm Mondays/Fridays afternoons to 9:30 am Monday/Friday morning).

Please note a pre-authorisation deposit is required using a valid debit / credit card.
